Kamiak is headed to the Wes-King 4A District baseball playoffs.

The Knights clinched their first postseason berth in six years with a 1-0 victory over Glacier Peak in a Wesco 4A tiebreaker game Monday, April 29 at Kamiak High School.

Freshman Sanha Oh drove in Ethan Norris in the first inning for the game’s only run and Alex Harshaw allowed only three hits to earn the victory.

Kamiak, the No. 5 seed, travels to Issaquah for a loser-out game at 4:15 p.m., Thursday, May 2.

Mount Vernon earned the league’s No. 4 seed with 1-0 victory over Glacier Peak and a 3-0 win over the Knights. That loss sent Kamiak into a winner-to-districts/loser-out game against the Grizzlies.

Monday’s tiebreaker contests were needed after Kamiak, Glacier Peak and Mount Vernon finished tied for fourth place in the Wesco 4A with 4-8 league records.
