Kamiak earned its second league win of the season on Friday, Oct. 4, beating Jackson 35-20.

The Knights started the game with an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter, after a 4-yard run by quarterback Tyler Webley, followed by a 3-yard run by Austin Hall.

Jackson’s Nick White scored early in the second quarter, off a 64-yard run, to make it a 14-7 game. Hall responded with a 13-yard run of his own in the second, and thanks to a solid kick by Michael Zeng, the Knights led 21-7 at halftime.

After the break, Kamiak’s Joseph Binda scored, returning a punt for 64-yards. Jackson’s White struck again, this time scoring on a 3-yard run to make it a 28-14 game going into the final minutes.

Webley scored Kamiak’s final touchdown of the evening on a 1-yard run, and while Jackson attempted to even things on the scoreboard when Alek Baumgartner scored off a 29-yard pass from Alex Cheesman, it wasn’t enough to get the Timberwolves the win.

Kamiak will play Edmonds-Woodway on Friday, Oct. 11 in a 7 p.m. game at Goddard Stadium. The Warriors are the only undefeated team left in Wesco 4A, with a 5-0 overall record. Both Edmonds-Woodway and the Knights are 2-0 in league, tied for first place.
