Coach: Bud Davis

Number of athletes: 17 in the program, six on varsity

Last season: The Knights finished 7-2 in league, sending golfers to the state tournament last spring.

Strengths: “Renee Kwak, “said returning head coach Bud Davis. “She plays year round in the national competition. That will sharpen your skill level in no time. She's a sophomore.”

Focus: “For the varsity, I'm trying to set up competition situations between themselves, but also with teams. So I’m trying to get them into tournaments where they see lots of different teams,” said Davis. “Trying to create situations of competition, so when it comes time at the end and there is competition they are ready.”

Meets to watch: “They really like to play the Oak Harbour shootout because I take them out to breakfast beforehand,” said Davis. “I've been pretty lucky to be in this position. These young ladies work hard and even in these horrible conditions they are still working and happy.”

The Knights will travel to the Oak Harbor Shootout at the Whidbey Island Country Club on March 18.
