The cheerleaders of Kamiak High School will be hosting their annual Junior Cheer Clinic on Friday, Aug. 17.

The clinic will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kamiak.

Besides learning cheer fundamentals, cheers and a sideline band dance, the participants will receive a t-shirt, poms, and have an opportunity to march in the Lighthouse Festival Grand Parade with the cheer team.

The clinic is one of Kamiak Cheer’s fundraisers, which help pay for team expenses.

“We are hoping to compete this year at the state level, which is a new added expense for the team,” Kamiak Cheer coach Kim Nelson said.

Lunch will be provided to attendees.

The clinic is open to preschool through middle school age children.

For information on registering for the Junior Cheer Clinic, email Kim Nelson at kamiakcheer@gmail.com.
