Kamiak seniors to continue athletic pursuits in college

Eleven Kamiak High School seniors gathered to sign letters of intent to continue their pursuits in college Monday, April 1, at the high school.

Family, teammates, friends and coaches gathered in the school’s faculty lounge to celebrate their loved one’s achievement.

Among the 11 were six track and field athletes, one football player, one baseball player, one basketball player, one golfer and one debater.

Kamiak seniors who signed letters of intent were:

• Alicia Anderson – Gonzaga University, Spokane (cross country/track)

• Leah Clark – Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia (cross country/track)

• Savannah Congdon – Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona (track and field)

• Tara Koonce – Washington State, Pullman (track and field)

• Zach Stancik – Pacific Lutheran or Whitworth, Tacoma or Spokane (cross country/track)

• Tracey Hatch – Undecided (cross country/track and field)

• Matt Casson – Lewis & Clark College Portland, Oregon (football)

• Bryce Coté – Doane University, Crete, Nebraska (baseball)

• Ryker Wuttke – University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewn (basketball)

• Regina Park – Western Washington, Bellingham (golf)

• Niko Battle – Wake Forest, Winston-Salem, North Carolina (debate)
