Letter: Don’t forget about Zieve’s ‘bigoted’ postcards

Jul 19, 2017

Peter Zieve's campaign letters, signs and write-up in the voters' pamphlet talk of families and no new taxes.

While he does admit that he opposes the “welcoming cities” resolution, nowhere does he point out the fact that he led an anonymous mail campaign in opposition to religious freedom. We were and continue to be disgusted by the postcard we received in the mail opposing the building of a mosque in Mukilteo ("Head of Electroimpact apologizes, clarifies anti-mosque postcard," Sarah Bruestle, April 20, 2016).

We strongly encourage all residents of Mukilteo to remember the offensive and bigoted postcard mailed by Mr. Zieve when you fill out your ballot.
