Letter: Kneller proud of clean, engaged campaign

Jul 26, 2017

Almost two months ago now, I signed a pledge to give my community someone to vote for, not against. I signed a pledge to run a clean campaign. While none of my opponents have signed on to this pledge, I’m proud to have run a campaign my kids can be proud of.

The Aug. 1 primary is less than a week away today, and voters throughout Mukilteo will be deciding who they want to represent our city.

Over the past few months, you’ve probably heard from many candidates and campaigns, seen many yard signs, and talked politics with many friends or neighbors; I know our campaign has been listening to, learning from, and engaging with many Mukilteans, and I wish there was more time for me to reach out to an even greater number of our neighbors.

I’ve had conversations with voters from things like speed bumps to large projects like the airport or the waterfront development; those conversations have been valuable to my growth as a person and the success of our campaign.

If elected, I will not stop seeking feedback and advice from the community, because a good public servant never stops listening to their constituents.

I’m proud to have the support from community members with completely different political philosophies; I’ve been endorsed by community members such as Joe Marine, Brian Sullivan, Lillian Ortiz-Self, Councilmember Randy Lord and more, which can be seen on my website – www.kneller4council.com.

I hope I’ve earned your support and your vote.

Sarah Kneller
candidate, City Council Position 3
