Letter: Letter writer false facts make for fake news

Sep 27, 2017

Mr. Reid's letter, “Is Mukilteo's mayor doing a great job?,” is typical of the disgusting tactic of spreading fake news. I'm not going to address every false fact in that letter, there were so many.

However, for the Beacon readers, I want to make it clear that the reason I left my job as the city of Mukilteo's Planning Manager had nothing to do with Mayor Gregerson. It was simply an opportunity for career advancement for me; to become a director of a planning department for the first time.

Mr. Reid couldn't even get the timing of my departure correct. I left in July 2016, not during the last week in December 2016 and the first part of 2017. If Mr. Reid couldn't get these facts straight, why should anybody think the other “facts” in his letter are accurate?

Thank you Glen, unlike you and Mayor Gregerson - Dan Matthews is a filthy human being for not condemning and stopping the lie machine.
