Mariner falls to Lynnwood | Girls prep basketball

The Mariner girls basketball team lost it's first league game after taking a break for the holidays. The Marauders lost 56-14 to Lynnwood.

Lynnwood led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter, and added 16 points in the second quarter, holding Mariner to just three points.

The Royals outscored Mariner 10-5 in the third and 9-6 in the fourth to earn the win.

Realene Nicolas and Kylie Aio both scored four points during the game for the Marauders, with Naomi Eastland adding three points. Amela Grebovic scored two points and Diana Dinh scored a point.

The Marauders are 0-5 in league and 1-9 this season and will host Monroe on Tuesday, Jan. 7 in a 7:15 p.m. game.
