Mukilteo Elementary students incorporate leadership qualities into their daily lives, and shared those qualities with their parents and members of the community last Friday, June 7, at the school’s 10thannual Leadership Day.

The students hosted an assembly and shared how they incorporate seven habits into their schoolwork, as well as clubs and activities they take part in.

Those habits are: Be Proactive (You’re in Charge), Begin with the End in Mind (Have a Plan), Put First Things First (Work First, Then Play), Think Win-Win (Everyone Can Win), Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood (Listen Before you Talk), Synergize (Together is Better), and Sharpen the Saw (Balance Feels Best).

Members of the school’s orchestra and choir also performed for the community.

After the assembly, guests had the chance to visit different classrooms to see different projects the students have been working on, such as on different cultures and science experiments.
