The next Pilchuck Audubon Society meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 11, at the Everett Firefighters Hall, 2411 Hewitt Avenue, Everett.

The program is “Meet the Bee” with naturalist and writer Rob Sandelin. In gardens, fields, and roadside ditches there is a vast empire of insect life, and some of the most interesting are the many kinds of native bees.

Come meet the only insect that incubates its eggs like a bird, the bee that has a powerful medicine that science is trying to unlock, and the bee that specializes in cleaning the spiders out of your yard.
