Moon viewing is Aug. 17 at EvCC

Everett Community College’s Nippon Business Institute and the East-West Chanoyu Center will host a traditional tea gathering in celebration of the summer moon at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

The event will take place at the NBI’s Nishiyama tearoom and garden, at 905 Wetmore Ave. in Everett. Admission is $15 per person (participants must be age 16 or older). A parking pass for campus parking is included. Registration is required to attend.

The Nippon Business Institute is an academic program of Everett Community College that focuses on Japanese language, culture and history.

The East-West Chanoyu Center provides educational programs for the broader community to experience Japan's multi-faceted tea culture.
