Two brothers from Mukilteo are successfully pursuing careers in the military.

Both Reggie and Quinn Carlson, sons of Rob and Lisa Carlson, are now graduates of U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.

Quinn, a 2012 Kamiak High School graduate, graduated from the academy this year, May 27. Reggie, a 2008 Kamiak graduate, graduated from the academy in 2013 and most recently graduated from the U.S. Army Logistics Captains' Career Course on July 21 in Fort Lee, Virginia.

Reggie is now serving as an Army Captain with the 21st Theatre Sustainment Command at the Kaiserslautern Army Base in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

While at West Point, Quinn concentrated his studies in Systems Engineering, graduating fourth in his class. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Infantry branch and is currently training at Fort Benning, Georgia, in the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course. After that, he’ll move on to Army Ranger School.

In 2018, Quinn is scheduled to report to Vicenza, Italy, with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, "Sky Soldiers,” for his first assignment.

The U.S. Military Academy is a four-year co-educational federal undergraduate liberal arts college located 50 miles north of New York City.
