Jacob Hilkin of Mukilteo is still missing.

His mother, Marni Jo Pierce, last saw Hilkin, 24, on Jan. 22 before he went to Tulalip Resort Casino with some friends.

Pierce posted on Facebook that her son had recently "fallen on hard times and was feeling a little lost but still hopeful."

"He kissed me good night and that's the last time I saw him," she wrote.

Pierce gave a brief timeline of the last time Hilkin was seen.

“The facts are simple,” Pierce said. “Jan. 23 after his friends would not take him home from the casino he walked off to find a bus. The Tulalip Police had contact (with Hilkin) at 10:20 a.m. that day in the woods behind the casino. Jake told them he was trying to get a bus back to his mom's house (in Everett). They pointed him in that direction and he walked off.  That is the last time we have had a positive ID.”

According to Pierce, Hilkin’s phone died while he was in Tulalip and his money was at her house, as was his phone charger.

Pierce believes that his disappearance is part of something larger in the Tulalip area.

“I am sickened by my son missing and further disturbed by others in that same area that have gone missing since then,” Pierce said. “Something horrible is happening to these kids and people. I see no efforts of tying these disappearances together, yet the circumstances seem to be so similar.”

Anyone who spots Hilkin or who has any information on his location should contact Snohomish County Sheriff's Office detective David Bilyeu at or call the anonymous tip line at 425-388-3845.

The case number is No. 2018-10374.

Pierce also urges anyone who thinks they see him to take a photo and relay it to the Sheriff's Office.
