Mukilteo seniors donate $1,000 to city for new telescope

May 23, 2018

The Mukilteo Senior Association has donated $1,000 for a telescope that will be permanently installed at Rosehill Community Center.

“Mayor Gregerson and City Council have historically given support to the Mukilteo Seniors, including providing us with free space at Rosehill for our monthly meetings,” Mukilteo Seniors Association President Dode Carlson said. “I asked former City Councilmember Randy Lord if he could think of something we could give back as a thank you, and he suggested a telescope to allow residents and guests to view the magnificent scenery and views from Rosehill. We would also like to thank Randy for his years of care and leadership.”

Carlson and Lord presented a $1,000 check to Mukilteo Mayor Jennifer Gregerson in her office at City Hall. Recreation and Cultural Services Director Jeff Price will make the necessary arrangements for the purchase and installation of this permanent telescope at Rosehill.
