The beginning of a new year always brings such promising perspective.

It’s when we initiate our resolutions, make an action plan and put the wheels into motion.  As we set those wheels for council agenda items into motion, I am looking to you for direction.

Now and always.

Personally, I end each year with a few good lessons and start the new one by showing that I have learned the lessons of the past well.

As a community, let’s leave behind everything negative 2017 had to offer up, and look forward to the positive 2018 can bring.

We are not shaped by opinions and circumstances that we cannot change, but rather, we are shaped by our resolve to move earnestly and dauntlessly into our future.

Let’s be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Let’s turn our focus towards what we can improve, what we can create and how we can make great things happen in our beautiful city.

When I campaigned, you all heard me repeat my mantra of, “Listening to, learning from and engaging with the community that surrounds me.”

I am putting myself out there, for you, and I definitely can’t do it without your feedback, guidance and advice.

Be in touch early and often, let’s do this together Mukilteo... and bring it on 2018, the Muk is ready for you!

The New Year is a time to celebrate past accomplishments and look forward to future success.

Have a wonderful, prosperous New Year!
