Orchestra readies annual holiday concert

Fred Chu, Artistic Director, and Pacifica Chamber Orchestra perform their annual Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8.

The concert is at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.

Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 seniors 65+ and students. Tickets can be purchased in advance through Brown Paper Tickets http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/370597 and at the door on concert day.

The program includes:

• Fred Chu, violin, performs “Summer” from “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi.

• “Quintet Op. 56 no. 1” by Danzi

• “Fantasia on a Theme” by Thomas Tallis, by Vaughan Williams

• Colin Meek, cello, performs “Pieces en Concert” by Couperin

• “Symphony no. 84 in Eb Major” by Haydn

• Carols, sing-along

Following the concert, there will be a reception with cookies, Scandinavian desserts.

Pacifica Chamber Orchestra is a non-profit organization that performs five subscription concerts each season in Everett plus outreach concerts for elementary students throughout Snohomish County.
