Paine Field public workshop is Oct. 29

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently announced the availability of their Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA), which examines the potential environmental impacts of Alaska Airlines, United Airlines and Southwest Airlines’ scheduled commercial airline services at Snohomish County Airport/Paine Field.

For those interested in commenting, or learning more about the new terminal, a Public Information Workshop will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, at the Lynnwood Convention Center (3711 196th Street SW, Lynnwood) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The workshop will allow for one-on-one interaction with the study team. The public can attend the workshop to review information related to the recently released study.

At 6:30 p.m. a public hearing will begin.

The public hearing will allow the public to enter their comments into the record, but will not include answering public questions.

Attendees may sign up to speak until 8:30.

There is also a public written comment period, which will run through Nov. 2. The public can also provide them at the Oct. 29 workshop, or mail them to: Environment Science Associates, Paine Field Supplemental EA, 5309 Shilshole Avenue NW, Suite 200, Seattle, WA  98107.

The ES is available to view online at Paine Field’s website, and is also available to view through Nov. 2 at the Mukilteo Library, Everett Library, Lynnwood Library, and at the Paine Field Administrative Office.
