The Mukilteo Youth Coalition is hosting a Parent U presentation on how to talk to children about sex on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Expert Amy Lang will share how to “Take the Sting Out of the Birds and the Bees Talk.” from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Mukilteo Library. The presentation is not for children.

The monthly series is for parents of elementary school students and focuses on teen issues.

Parent U runs throughout the 2016-2017 school year, with presentations held the second Tuesday of the month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Mukilteo Library.

The Mukilteo Youth Coalition was founded in 2014. It was formed to help the community’s youth suffering with depression and addiction to fight the diseases through awareness, prevention, counseling and treatment.

In addition to suicide and addiction, the group helps link the community to resources to deal with mental illness, domestic violence, bullying, LGBT and teen pregnancy, among other issues.

The Mukilteo Library is at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. in Mukilteo. Call the library at 425-493-8202.
