The Mukilteo Elementary PTSA held its annual food drive from May 20-31 to benefit the Mukilteo Food Bank. All of the classes competed to see who could collect the most food. Students earned points for each food item they brought in.

This year’s winner was Mrs. Sandford’s first-grade class, with 925 points. Second place was Mrs. Garcia's kindergarten class, and third place was Mrs. Middaugh's third grade class.

All together, the school collected enough food to fill the food bank’s van three times.

“Many people do food drives around the holidays, but this time of year, donations often run low, so this is a great year-end activity for our school,” said Anne Crocco, who helped organize the food drive.
