It snowed 1-2 inches in Mukilteo on Dec. 20, according to the National Weather Service, enough to cancel the last day of school for Mukilteo students before the Winter Break.

Snow fell from about 2:25 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and mixed with freezing rain around 9 a.m., according to NWS records.

The weather quickly warmed in the afternoon, enough to melt the snow by the end of the day, turning to rain and dashing hopes for a white Christmas.
