Republican Mario Lotmore kicks off campaign

Mario Lotmore, a Mukilteo resident who is a Republican candidate for the 21st Legislative District’s state Senator position, kicked off his campaign last Wednesday, June 13 by having a kick off dinner at Shawn O’Donnell’s in Everett.

Those in attendance included former Mukilteo Mayor Joe Marine, Mukilteo City Councilmember Anna Rohrbough, former Mukilteo City Councilmember Emily Vanderwielen, Republican Legislative District (LD) 21 Chair Robert Liesik, Republican LD32 Chair Lori Theis, LD 21 House Candidate Amy Schaper, LD 32 House Candidate Diodato Boucsieguez, and Senate Republican Campaign Committee Deputy Director Josalun Hasz.

According to Lotmore, 35 people total showed up and many brought questions and concerns regarding the 21st Legislative District, and the state as a whole.

Lotmore also said the main topics discussed were the opioid crisis, affordability, Sound Transit, and the benefits of vocational training and opportunities for people who don’t go to college after high school.
