Fall is in the air, so it must be time for "Schack-toberfest", the Schack Art Center's annual glass pumpkin festival in downtown Everett from Sept. 13-23.

This admission free, fall festival is all about pumpkins. The Schack's main gallery turns into an urban patch filled with 700 glass pumpkins in all sizes, shapes, and colors, as well as harvest-themed artwork and gifts from local artists.

Special activities include free art projects for kids on Sept. 16 and 23 between 1 and 4 p.m. and a silent auction in the mezzanine gallery featuring 12" by 12" panels created by local artists just for Schack-toberfest.

Visitors also have the opportunity to make their own glass pumpkin in the Schack's hot shop during “Make it Now” sessions each weekend. These sessions frequently sell out in advance, so reservations are recommended. Check schack.org/make-it-now for schedule and availability.

In addition to the all-ages, daytime festivities, those 21 are invited to "Pints & Pumpkins" on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. Guests can grab a pint from Scuttlebutt or Lazy Boy Brewing in a souvenir Schack glass while enjoying food from Alexa's Cafe and Catering. This special evening in the Schack-toberfest patch features live music from Cascade Cascade. "Pints & Pumpkins" is also the final night to place bids in the Schack-toberfest silent auction, featuring original artwork created by more than 40 local artists. Tickets for Pints & Pumpkins are $20 for Schack members, $25 for non-members, and may be purchased online at schack.org/events or at the door.
