Sno-King Chorale ends season with ‘Fiddler’

In its annual “Ticket to Broadway” concert, the 90-voice Sno-King Community Chorale will perform a concert version of “Fiddler on the Roof” at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 10 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N, Edmonds.

The story of Tevye, the Jewish dairyman, his wife, Golde, and their five daughters, who live in the small Russian village of Anateva, is told through memorable songs such as “Tradition,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” the Sabbath Prayer, and “L’Chaim” (“To Life”).

The cast includes Steve Cobb as Tevye; Darla Kiste as Golde; Collene Lynch as Yente, the matchmaker; Mike Bell as Lazar Wolf; daughters Tzeitel, Chava, and Hodel (played by Julie Johnsen, Marla Lockhart, and Nikki Glaros, respectively); and  the boys, Motel, Perchik, and Fyedka (sung by Frank Bonner, Anthony Molinero, and Joel Nichols, respectively).

The featured guest artists are members of the Vela Luka Croatian Dance Ensemble and violinist Luis Alcantara.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and students, $10 for children 12 and under, and $15 for groups of 10 or more seniors.
