While millions across the world witnessed the New England Patriots capture their sixth Super Bowl, Mukilteo got bombarded with snow in a way we haven’t seen in a long time.

Some parts of town reported having upwards of 8 inches of snow.

Through the power of social media, we asked residents to send us their favorite pictures from the snow day on Monday, Feb. 4. Here are some of our favorites.

While many Mukilteo residents were likely bundled up drinking hot chocolate during the snow day on Feb. 4, Councilmember Richard Emery braved the elements for a hike in Japanese Gulch with his wife, Liza. (Courtesy of: Liza Patchen-Short)
Old Town resident Beth Lewis captured this photo from her property, showing the snow coating Old Town Mukilteo. See the flat roof? That’s The Beacon office! (Courtesy of: Beth Lewis)
