Strong performances for Mariner at cheer camp

The Mariner cheer team earned two first-place awards at the Universal Cheerleading Association camp July 19-22, at the University of Puget Sound.

The Marauders finished first in rally routine and sideline in the medium varsity all-girl division. Mariner also took second in overall game day and received spirit sticks all four days. The team received blue superior ribbons in evaluations for rally routine and cheer. Aaliyah Nao, Gisselle Villasana and Melanie Vue earned all-American honors. Seniors Mia Rendahl and Nao were invited to try out for UCA staff.
