Tell legislators to fund education | Letter

Apr 09, 2017

As of April 3, the Washington State Legislature has reached $60 million in fines for failing to adequately fund education, and is currently discussing going into special session.

I find it unacceptable that our elected representatives have not found the common ground needed to fulfill our state's Constitutional duty to our kids and schools. It is clear that new funding sources must be included without cutting vital services to our most vulnerable populations or further burdening the middle class.

We must ensure that students in not only the Edmonds School District but across the state receive the kind of equitable education the 21st century demands.

Call your legislators at 844-489-4843 and ask them how they plan to pass a fully funded education budget.
