Trinity Lutheran ministry presents timely event

Shirley Sutton, B. A., M.Ed. and Maizy Brown, A.A., B.A. will be presenting:  "Accepting our Neighbors Through Understanding" at Trinity Lutheran Church's Stephen Ministry at 7 p.m., on Monday, March 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 - 196th St. SW, Lynnwood.

Ms. Sutton is the Chair of the Diversity Commission for the City of Lynnwood and has recently retired from being the Executive Director of Edmonds Community College's Community Outreach.

She has worked extensively in the Community with issues of Immigration, Diversity, Inclusion, and Poverty and on committees for the Edmonds School District.

Ms. Brown has been part of the Edmonds Community College community since 2000 where she has worked in various departments.

She has been a featured speaker for the Transition Conference, the Homeless Panel, sponsored by ECC and has regularly been a speaker for the GED and Adult Basic Education classes at ECC as well as at Pathways for Women.

Recently she was nominated to speak at the 2013 YWCA Inspire Luncheon.  All interested persons are invited to attend.
