Two Endeavour Elementary students are state reflections winners.

Evelyn Boudon won Outstanding Interpretation (first place in the Intermediate Division) for her photograph, "You Are My Hero, Mom" and Amelia Lucas won Award of Excellence (Second place in the Primary Division) for her photograph, "Hero of the House."

Boudon’s entry will represent Washington state in the National Competition.

Students from across the state used their imagination, creativity, and interpretation of the theme “Heroes Around Me” in the 2018-2019 National PTA Reflections program. The program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts in an educational way.

Students in preschool through 12th grade create and submit original works of art in the medium of their choice - dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts - reflecting on the year’s theme.

There also is a special artist division option for students with disabilities to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in the program.

The National PTA Reflections was founded in 1969 and nearly 300,000 students and their families participate in arts education activities each year. For more information about the program, visit
