Voyager to open family resource center | School brief

Oct 19, 2016

Voyager Middle School has plans to open a resource center for families as soon as this year.

The middle school’s administrators have recognized that a Family Resource Center would be key in the building of relationships between families, school staff and community partners.

As such, Voyager is asking for input from parents about what they would like to see in a resource center.

What would make you feel welcome and comfortable in the new center? What kinds of resources would you like to have available?

Whether parents would like access to a computer or presentations on middle school safety, the administration would like to hear your ideas.

Voyager’s plan is to open the new center in the school in the 2016-17 school year. It would resemble the college and career centers at Kamiak and Mariner high schools, but cater toward building relationships, sharing resources and fostering communication between families and school staff.
