Detectives are gathering evidence and following up on leads after a woman was shot to death in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 20, inside a residence near Mukilteo.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple 911 calls at about 2 a.m. reporting “shots fired” in the 3100 block of York Road in Everett, just southeast of Beverly Park Road.

Alisha M. Canales-McGuire, 24, of Concrete, Washington, was found dead inside the residence with obvious gunshot wounds. Another adult female and three children were also inside the house. No other injuries or deaths have been reported.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman Friday, Sept. 22, and determined that the cause and manner of death was homicide. Detectives have yet to identify a suspect in the case.

Detectives are looking for video and photos from home and business surveillance cameras in the surrounding area, specifically anything captured between 1-3 a.m. Sept. 20 that shows vehicle or pedestrian traffic within a one-mile radius of the 3100 block of York Road.

Detectives ask anyone who has any information related to the incident to call the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Tipline at 425-388-3845.

A reverse 911 call was made to area residences Thursday night, Sept. 21, and investigators canvassed the area on foot Friday, Sept. 22, asking area residents for any related video footage.
